The West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences (WBNUJS or NUJS) is a National Law School located in Kolkata, India. It is commonly known as NLU Kolkata. NLU Kolkata was established under the WBNUJS Act 1999 and is affiliated with the Bar Council of India. NUJS is considered one of the best elite national law schools offering various courses at the UG and PG levels. NUJS UG courses include a five-year integrated BA/B.Sc LLB (Hons.) programme and NUJS PG courses include LLM and M.Sc. The university also offers certificate and research programmes. NUJS admission to LLB Integrated and LLM programmes are based on CLAT. Whereas admission to other NUJS courses is based on eligibility criteria, entrance tests and personal interviews conducted by the university itself. In the NIRF Rankings 2024, The West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences has secured 4th rank in the Law category.
The main campus of the university is located in Salt lake, Kolkata. Spread over five acres of land, the NUJS campus infrastructure includes an auditorium, gym, library, conference rooms, lecture rooms, hostel and many other facilities. NUJS admission to other programmes such as M.Sc, PhD and LLD are based on the eligibility criteria set by the university and the entrance examination. The university conducts its own entrance exam for these programmes that includes a written test and a personal interview. NUJS admission dates 2023 for these courses will be updated soon.
Students will have to visit the official website of the Consortium of NLUs to apply for NUJS UG admission to LLB (integrated) programme and LLM programme. To apply for NUJS PG admission and admission to PhD, LLD and certificate programmes, they can follow the steps below.
Step 1: Visit the official website of NUJS Kolkata.
Step 2: Click on the ‘Admission - 2023-24’ button under the Admission menu.
Step 3: Now download the NUJS application form for the desired programme.
Step 4: Pay the NUJS application fees.
Step 5: Submit the hard copy of the application form with proof of payment in the office of Registrar of WBNUJS.
NUJS placement cell is known as campus recruitment committee (CRC) that coordinates for internship and recruitment opportunities. CRC includes 9 elected student members that perform various functions from inviting recruiters to helping and training students. Overall it takes care of the NUJS placement process. CRC of 2019 has reported the highest number of placements across all the NLUs.

The Consortium of National Law Universities has released the NUJS CLAT cutoff 2022 through merit lists of seat allocation. NUJS cut-off is released in the form of opening and closing marks for different categories. Selection to NUJS LLB (integrated) and LLM programme is based on qualifying for the NLU Kolkata CLAT cut-off.
